Facebook Updates That Could Mean Big Differences For Your Business

I wanted to give you the heads up regarding the Mark Zuckerberg update that you've most likely seen on the news this weekend. 

My son Alex (who has known about this for some time) had a long conversation with Facebook on Friday and they confirmed that these changes won't effect PAID advertising. (In fact they've even invited him to their offices in London in the next few months which is really exciting!) 

What you do need to know as it will affect a lot of you is that ORGANIC (ie not paid for) posts will be filtered out of people's newsfeed. We've known about this for the last 12 months and it's exactly why I've not recommended focusing time and effort on organic. 

The Ads platform is, however, starting to favour video for targeting cold audiences as it's more native to the platform now ( ie a form of paid media where the ad experience follows the natural form and function of the user experience in which it is placed).
